FORM AND FORMLESSNESS

I have recently enjoyed committing myself to the eclectic world of natural forms.  I find the proportion of chaos to beauty in nature akin to the proportion that exists in my mind. It's liberating that I can anchor my eyes outside of myself and still paint all the essential tension, the angst and the delight, I have within.

However, there have been times when the angst was so pervasive I felt I had to let go of form entirely, in an effort to exorcise some of that tension.  And I find it very hard to let go of form entirely.

On this page I'll post several examples of my battle between form and formlessness.

To begin, here is a very literal example.  It reads:
GET ME OUT OF THE CAPTIVITY OF FORMLESSNESS
Please
please
Dec 8, 2009

And this, equally literal, reads:
also the tension between the will to lead but the ache to be lead...
It always comes back to this fight with the lines and the colours
